I started "sampling" as a hobby several years ago.  It sure
makes collecting the daily mail a lot more fun, plus it's a
great way to try out new products!  Today, it might be a
toothpaste or deodorant sample, but tomorrow could bring
a drill bit or saw blade for my hubby!  Sometimes the mail
carrier delivers samples of diapers, baby formula, or sippy
cups that I pass along to my children for the grandchildren.

Requesting free samples is quick and easy.  Most sites offer
a simple form -  just type in your name, address and e-mail
address to have a free sample mailed to you.  You can save
money by using these sample products provided by
manufacturers by trying it before purchasing the full-size
product.

Here are some neat ideas for using samples:
Place shampoo and conditioner samples in your guest
bathroom - - since typically the guest bathroom isn't used
that often, full-size bottles aren't necessary, plus your
guests get that "hotel" feeling with the sample bottles.

Place samples of diapers, baby-formula, lotion, sippy cups,
coupons, etc. in a plastic baby tub, add a couple of baby
washcloths and a hooded towel for an inexpensive, but
useful baby shower gift that the new mommy will
appreciate.

Samples of dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry
detergent, and fabric softener placed in a wicker basket
with a couple of dishcloths, dishtowels and scrubby
sponges make a nice and inexpensive bridal shower gift.

Cereal, cracker and cookie samples make great treats
when the grandchildren visit.  The small size is perfect for
little ones to handle on their own and they get a special
treat without spoiling their appetite!

Swap samples with your friends or neighbors, or schedule a
"sample swap" with your friends.  Pet owners could swap A
dog food samples for cat food samples!  A new mom may
trade samples of items she doesn't use for diaper or
formula samples.  Besides swapping samples, it's also a
great time to socialize and keep in touch with friends!
