The pumpkin vines
are blooming!
Pumpkins are
self-pollinating
(both male and
female blossoms),
so not every
blossom with yield a
pumpkin. Still, it
looks like there will
be several!!

LOOK! A "baby" pumpkin has
formed on one of the vines!!

Tomatoes come in a variety of
shapes and sizes. Vine-ripened red,
they taste good regardless. One
day's harvest shown above.

When this plant
first appeared
several feet away
from the garden, I
thought it was a
pumpkin. We
decided to let it
grow and found out
a few weeks later
that it is actually a
birdhouse (bottle)
gourd plant!! Keep
watching for photos
of the progress of
this "volunteer"
plant.

We didn't plant any
petunias this year, but
we have a volunteer
Purple Wave! While it is
considered an annual,
apparently it can be
perennial sometimes.
